Get started

1 - Install Portal

Portal is a desktop application that installs, authenticates and updates ProductionCrate plugins.

It also allows you to organize your VFX, Music and Graphics from our asset library.

2 - Sign In or Register

Once Portal has been installed, log-in with the ProductionCrate account you used to purchase your Pro membership or Plugin.

3 - Click "Install" on ProductionCrate Plugins

All of our plugins are installed together to make it easier to update and manage.

Each update/installation is only approximately 200mb.

4 - Click "Install" on ProductionCrate Plugins

Approve of any Installation pop-ups that may appear.

These request permission to install the plugins. For Windows, it will be a Command Prompt box. For Mac it will be a password request.

5 - Open AE or Premiere, and start creating!

Already have Portal?

If you have just purchased a plan, click "Refresh" in Portal to update the status of your account. If you are still having issues, please ensure that you have logged into the same account you upgraded on the website.

When your plan status updates to say "Pro" or "Plugins-Plan", your desktop is ready to use the plugins. Simply click "Refresh License" in After Effects / Premiere Pro to continue.

Other issues?

If you experience issues installing plugins, or crashes in After Effects / Premiere, you can contact us.

Locate your log files by opening Portal, clicking "Report Error" on the bottom left, and "Open Log Folder".

Please zip the entire folder, and send it in an email with any screenshots of the error to:

support@productioncrate.com
